Sports in Stanley Park
Stanley Park is the most diverse source of sports venues in the Vancouver area. It is possible to walk, run, cycle or rollerblade the Seawall at any time of year. Many kilometers of developed trails are available that crisscross the park. The area close to the Beach Avenue entrance includes a large number of tennis courts, a lawn bowling club, a putting surface and a spectacular pitch and putt golf course. The Brockton Oval complex includes a rugby playing field, a cricket pitch and an all purpose grass field. Ceperley playground has an all purpose field. The Prospect Point picnic area has a baseball diamond. The pool at Second Beach as well as the various beaches provide aquatic opportunities. Finally once every 5-10 years Lost Lagoon freezes over for a few days of skating in the park.
